Caden Glover of American Idol Season 21

Caden Glover is one of the artists to announce he auditioned for American Idol.

American Idol returns to ABC on Sunday, Feb. 19 for its Season 21 premiere.

Here’s more about Caden.

* He’s from Union, W.Va. — population 429 — and says he’s loved growing up in a small town.

* “There’s nothing like walking down the street and talking with every person who knows your last name. You don’t find these things anywhere other than a small town,” he said in a 2022 interview.

* That said, he eventually plans to move to Nashville with his folk music sound.

* Caden credits his father for exposing him to a wide range of music growing up and says his influences include Doc Watson, Ralph Stanley, and The Marshall Tucker Band, as well as Lynyrd Skynyrd and James Taylor.

* He picked up banjo at age 13 and quickly learned he had a knack for it. That fueled his love of music and he eventually began songwriting as well.

* Caden released his debut single “Appalachian Skyline” in March 22.

* He followed up with a six-track EP called “The Cabin Session” in November. Check out the wonderful “Liv’s Song” from that EP below.

* Caden has more than 16,000 followers and about 125,000 likes on his TikTok.
