Her audition: Cali Wilson, 28, of Salem, Iowa, performed “Dreams” by Fleetwood Mac (Stevie Nicks). She’s doing an interesting version of the classic hit, a passionate, heartfelt version of the song. And she prompted chair turns from Blake Shelton and John Legend a little past the midway point. Gwen Stefani eventually turned as well. John called her tone “super gorgeous.” Cali apparently met Blake in her small hometown at one point. And she decided to join Team Blake.

Here’s more about Cali.

* She’s now a Nashville-based singer-songwriter who classifies her music as acoustic, indie and alternative.

* She also teaches kickboxing, something she’s been doing for about three years. In fact, she manages a kickboxing gym, according to her Voice bio.

* In her web bio, Cali says she grew up listening to her mother sing and that’s how she fell in love with music. Her mother was a professional singer.

* Cali grew up in the small town of Salem, Iowa, and taught herself guitar when she was 16. She moved to Nashville when she was 25.

* She released her first song, “Daughter You’ll Never Know,” in 2010. It’s based on personal experience; Cali doesn’t know her father.

* She released a four-song EP, “Love and War,” in 2016 and followed up with a cover of Britney Spears’ “Toxic” in 2017.

* On her website, Cali lists her major influences as Missy Higgins, Joss Stone, Frank Ocean, and Amy Winehouse.

* Her YouTube channel features a wide range of covers. In addition to Amy Winehouse, you’ll find covers there of songs by John Mayer, Kodaline, Adele and Dan + Shay. Check out Cali’s beautiful cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “Dreams” below.
