J Valerione of American Idol Season 21
Idol returns to ABC on Sunday, Feb. 19 for its Season 21 premiere.

* J is a 28-year-old native of Louisiana and now a Los Angeles based artist.
* J has been performing since receiving a first gospel CD (Kirk Franklin & Family) at age 4.
* J was raised in local church and community theater.
* J’s musical influences include Donny Hathaway, Steven Sondheim, Alan Menken, Stevie Wonder, and The Clark Sisters.
* J studied and toured with The Young Americans, a southern California-based non-profit.
* J has an impressive list of performing credits on Backstage.com, including roles in “Godspell,” “Les Miserables,” “Grease” and “The Wiz.”
* J has also performed on the Norwegian Cruise Lines.
* And J has appeared in multiple productions at Disneyland Resort, including “Invincible the Musical,” featuring the music of Pat Benetar.
