Kamryn Palmer of American Idol Season 24 with Wrigley, promoting her new single.
Idol returned to ABC on Monday, Jan. 26 with the judging trio of Luke Bryan, Carrie Underwood and Lionel Richie. The second audition episode airs Monday night.
Here’s more about Kamryn:
* She’s a country singer-songwriter from Harbour Beach, Fla., but is now based in Nashville.
* And she’s been releasing music since 2018, to the tune of 19 singles and an EP that are currently available on streaming sites.
* Five of those singles have more than 100,000 streams on Spotify alone. Her most streamed on the site is an October single, “Call Me When You Hear This.” It’s a great, catchy mid-tempo country song.
* And Kamryn just released a new song last week called “Only Fans.” She’s writes that it’s :for the people pleasers just like me” who are tired of changing themselves to please others. Check out a snippet below.
* Kamryn’s website bio says she picked up a guitar when she was 10 and knew early on that she wanted to be a singer.
* And she moved to Nashville at age 19, shortly after graduating from Satellite High School in Florida.
* She’s already enjoyed some success as a songwriter. In 2017, she been selected to participate at Grammy Camp in Nashville and had been named a national finalists in a National YouthArts Foundation competition.
* One of her early inspirations was none other than Idol judge Carrie Underwood.
* Interviewed by Stereo Stickman, Kamryn said: “I grew up on Carrie Underwood. I was 5 when she was on American Idol, I was watching her audition and I turned to my parents and said ‘she’s my favorite singer.’”
* Pre-Idol, Kamryn already has more than 45,000 followers and 725,000 likes on her TikTok, where she’s been very busy promoting her latest single with the help of an absolutely adorable mini Dachshund named Wrigley.
