Her audition: Brianna Yansey, ““Used to Be Young” by Miley Cyrus: Viewers saw just a snippet of Brianna’s audition. But it was enough to demonstrate her impressive range and powerful vocals. Lionel Richie called the audition “really well done.”

Here’s more about Brianna.

* She’s an 18-year-old singer-songwriter from Georgia with music already out.

* And she’s a 2025 graduate of Chattahoochee High School, where she sang the national anthem for her graduation with Mikaela Ayira, a Season 26 contestant on The Voice.

* A TikTok of that performance went viral. The result: Brianna and Mikaela were invited to sing the national anthem for the Kansas City Chiefs home game against the Denver Broncos on Christmas day.

* According to her Spotify bio, Brianna’s interest in music began at a young age and she was writing her own songs by age 5.

* Brianna’s YouTube page features a video or her singing the anthem at a WNBA game when she was just 10, and another of her singing an original song to win the Dunwoody (Ga.) Idol competition in 2021.

* She was heavily involved in musical theater at Chattahoochee High and earned an award for her performance in “Chicago” during her sophomore year.

* Around the same time, Brianna released her first two singles — “One Day” and “No Apologies.” The latter is a warning against toxic relationships, whether they involve family members, friends or partners, she says in an interview with Music Fashion Blog.

* In her Spotify bio, Brianna describes her vocal style as a blend of neo soul, R&B and pop. On Facebook, she describes herself as “a singer/songwriter, with melodies flowing from my soul and lyrics that come from the heart.”
