Nars Taylor of American Idol Season 22

Nars Taylor is among the artists rumored to have earned a golden ticket on American Idol Season 22.

Idol returns to ABC on Sunday, Feb. 18 with the judging trio of Luke Bryan, Katy Perry and Lionel Richie back intact.

Here’s more about Nars.

* He’s a California-based pop rock artist.

* On Spotify, he classifies himself as a singer-songwriter who “combines pop music with elements of funk, rock and R&B.”

* It also says he’s known for his colorful and stylish outfits.

* He’s released a pair of singles as Nars Taylor – “Heaven for Me” and “Martini.” Both dropped in 2023. You can check out “Martini” below.

* Don’t be surprised to see him flip female songs if he’s on Idol for long. Nars’ recent TikTok covers included Ariana Grande’s “Be Alright,” Billie Eilish’s “Everything I Wanted” and Dua Lipa’s “Dance the Night.”

* He’s also clearly a fan of classic rock. His most recent covers on Instagram are Whitesnake’s “Is This Love?” and Aerosmith’s “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing.”

* He’s dedicating his appearance on Idol to his mother, who passed away about a year ago. In a late January social media post, on his mother’s birthday, he wrote: “You haven’t been with me for a year, but you’ll be proud of me. I miss you Mom and I love you so much! This for you!”
