Here’s more about Ryan:
* He grew up on a farm and starting milking cows at age 4. His family owns Coleman Hay Farms in southeastern Pennsylvania. In addition to operating as a traditional farm, the business hosts educational tours and community events.
* Ryan studied agribusiness and finance at Penn State University so that he could eventually help run the family farm, according to his Voice bio.
* That said, Ryan told The Voice he always dreamed of doing music as a living. By the time he was in high school, he was performing as often as he could.
* His desire to pursue music became more urgent after he was seriously injured in a truck accident at age 22. He was thrown from the vehicle, suffered a concession and a slipped disc in his back and spent a couple of months recovering.
* Ryan told The Voice that convinced him he needed to chase his dream “because tomorrow isn’t a given.”
* While he’s primarily a country singer-songwriter, Ryan told the coaches he performs other genres of music as well.
* He’s also released music, three singles in fact. They include “That’s What I Do” from 2022, “Take It From Me” from 2023 and “Dive Bar Broken Heart” from earlier this year. The latter is particularly impressive, and you can check out a “barn session” version of the song below.
* Since 2021, Ryan has also been lead vocalist and guitarist for a young country band called Coletrain. The band also includes Pat Duffy, Austin Bright and Abby Long, performs around southeastern Pennsylvania and has been working on an EP, according to their website.
* Coletrain helped promote Ryan’s appearance on The Voice and added this announcement: “Going forward, Coletrain will be going under Ryan Coleman. The band remains the same, so be sure to follow Ryan for all of our upcoming shows and new music.”
* Last month, Ryan was one of the featured artists at a show at Whiskey Jam in Nashville. Also featured: four of his Season 25 Voice colleagues, Donny Van Slee, Ducote Talmage, Karen Walrup and Bri Fletcher.
