Emily Ann Roberts, the Season 9 runner-up, has released a lovely new Christian country single called ‘The Building,” about the church she grew up in. It’s a song she wrote with Michael Farren. Write Emily: “Thank the Lord for my home church and the memories and moments that have made it so special. I wouldn’t be the woman I am today if it wasn’t for the building where Jesus changed my life.”

Casi Joy from Season 12 has released an original Christmas song called “The Tree and Me.” There’s also an accompanying and funny lyric video, which you can check out below. Says Casi: “If your family Christmas looks more like the Griswolds than a Hallmark movie, I wrote this for you.” Too early for Christmas music? Not in Casi’s mind. “Halloween is over, so it’s officially Christmas time!” she announces.

(He dropped the fun “Whiskey in Your Wine Glass” over the summer). Casey says he wrote the song with Brian Schwager and Emily Earle, another former Voice contestant, “a couple years back, and loved it from the moment we finished, and finally got to bring it to life in the studio.”
