Amanda Brown, a standout from Season 3, released a six-song EP called “From Here” on Thursday. Two tracks — “Dirty Liar” and “Amazing” had already been released. The rest are new, including the impressive title track and the haunting “Nervous.” Says Amanda: “I wrote these songs around the time I left NYC for LA. I felt unsure of so many things during that period, but I knew I was heading in the right direction. These songs (and my loved ones) carried me through.” Since The Voice, Amanda also released an excellent debut album, 2018’s “Dirty Water.”

Brother Bird, aka Caroline Glazer from Season 4, has released “Oktaha Road,” a song she calls “insanely special” to her. Carolina is married to Colton Swon, one half of The Swon Brothers. “We got really close to losing my father-in-law last year over the holidays. It was sudden and scary and a complete nightmare.” She wrote the song while staying at her in-laws home in Oklahoma. “Releasing this almost an entire year removed and recovered is kind of the ultimate silver lining. A forever reminder of how fragile and precious life can be.”

Chance Pena from Season 9 has a new song out called “Whiskey and Cigarettes.” Explains Chance: “A year and a half ago I wrote this on a balcony overlooking the beach as a storm rolled in. Had a glass of whiskey next to me and this song is what came out. When you’re needing a piece of home when you’re far from it, this song’s for you.” Chance has quietly become a post-show success. He has eight singles with more than 1 million streams on Spotify. “In My Room,” released earlier this year, has more than 38 million.
