Recent post-Voice music includes country singles from Jake Hoot, Corey Kent and Tanner Gomes.
Here’s a bit more about each of those releases. The links take you to the songs on Apple Music.
* Jake Hoot, the Season 17 champ, has a new love song out called “B4u.” Jake wrote the song with Kylie Sackley and Grant Vogel, who also handled production. It’s about finally finding the “right” love. Jake told Everything Nash: “You’re talking to your significant other, telling them, basically, ‘Hey, before you I thought I knew all this stuff. I thought I knew what good love was. I thought all these things were right, but I realized how right it is to be with you now.’ It’s a very good little love song … I’m very, very proud of this song. It’s one of my favorite love songs I have been a part of.”

* Corey Kent from Season 8 celebrates home and family in his new single, “How You Know You’ve Made It.” Says Corey: “I spent years trying to ‘make it’ in the music industry. Trying to make a name for myself. Trying to make a dollar. I was newly married to my wife, just had our first baby girl and I was more focused on providing for them than being there for them. I was taking for granted the things in life that really mattered. I was so busy chasing a dream that I couldn’t see that I had the dream right in front of me the whole time.” Corey’s been enjoying lots of success musically as well in the past year, racking up one single with more than 45 million streams on Spotify and three other songs with more than 3 million.

* Tanner Gomes from Season 19 recently released his latest country single “Pretty Things.” He calls it one of the favorite songs he’s written, a song about “the things that actually make someone pretty.” I’m not sure he’s planning on following up with a music video, but there’s a humorous video on his social media in which all those things add up to his ice cream loving pet dog. It’s the second recent single from Tanner, who released the raucous “Arizona Anthem” last month.
