Recent post-Voice releases include news singles from Alexa Cappelli, Fousheé and Kat Perkins, plus Hailey Mia’s first release since making the Season 21 finals.
Here’s a bit more about each of those releases. The links take you to the songs on Apple Music.
* Alexa Cappelli from Season 14 is charting with her latest ridiculously catchy pop song, “Could’ve Just Left Me Alone.” The song climbed as high as number 12 on Apple Music’s overall chart following its Friday morning release. It was still number 26 as of Saturday, plus Top 10 on the site’s pop chart. It’s Alexa’s first single under license with Arista Records, and she recently celebrated signing that deal on her Instagram. The single’s success isn’t entirely a surprise. A TikTok video Alexa posted of the song went viral with 15 million views. And she’s been releasing one great tune after another for the past two years. Congrats, Alexa!
* Fousheé from Season 15 is another singer who has found post-Voice success thanks to her hit “Deep End.” She’s back with a new song called “I’m Fine,” which is downright haunting given current events. Fousheé wrote the song and directed the music video, which you can check out below. She says “I’m Fine” is the first song she wrote for her new project. ““During the span of time between the last project to when ‘i’m fine’ was written there was a lot being suppressed. It’s highlighting the contrast of a pretty exterior with a chaotic interior.”
* Kat Perkins from Season 6 has a new song out called “Burn Fire Burn.” It’s her first single since 2020. Fans of Kat can also catch her on tour, singing background vocals on the Kid Rock Bad Reputation tour. She takes center stage to sing Sheryl Crow’s part in the song “Picture.” And the Minnesota rocker is preparing for her own show June 2 at Falconer Vineyards in Red Wing, Minn.
* Mailey Mia, fourth on Season 21, has released her first music since. It’s a cover of Tate McRae’s “She’s All I Wanna Be.” Hailey was just 13 when she auditioned for The Voice. She was saved twice and wound up making it all the way to the season finale as a member of Team Kelly Clarkson.
