Recently released post-Voice music includes country collaborations featuring JessLee, Jake Hoot, Jake Worthington and The Swon Brothers.
Here’s a bit more about those releases. The links take you to the songs on Apple Music.
* JessLee from Season 14 has teamed up with Seth Anthony for “Raised On It.” Says JessLee: “When I wrote my verse and the song’s chorus, I knew Seth would be the perfect person to write and perform the rap it needed … As two Florida born, southern raised souls, we love the story line and how it captured so much of who we are as people and artists! These lyrics. Every one of them is our truth. I’d never trade being raised in the country.” There’s a music video too, which you can check out below.
* Jake Hoot, the Season 17 champ, is duet partner for country artist Bri Fletcher on her new love song “There’s Still Tomorrow.” The song has already been streamed more than 250,000 times on Spotify, and the singers are released a music video, which you can check out below. Bri said she wrote the song while talking about wedding vows with a good friend. “I was so thrilled to record this song with Jake because not only is he the nicest, most genuine guy, but he is also incredibly talented and picked up the song and even all my crazy requests for vocal runs,” Bri said.
* Jake Worthington, runner-up from Season 6, is featured on the new single from country legend Ronnie Dunn. The song “Honky Tonk Town” is from Dunn’s upcoming album, “!00 Proof Neon.” Says Jake: “I get to walk amongst giants everyday because of country music. So grateful to have had the opportunity to sing with one of the greatest to ever sang a song.” Jake signed with Big Loud Records last October and is working on his own honky tonk album.
* The Swon Brothers, third on Season 4, co-wrote and sing on “No Goodbye Kiss,” the latest single from the country duo Lazy Jane. Zach and Colton also helped produce the duo’s debut EP, released last year. Writes Lazy Jane: “This song is for anyone who knows what it’s like to have your last first kiss. When we first heard this song, it instantly transported us back almost 9 years ago to when we first met and started dating. We just absolutely adore this song and we are so thrilled that it’s finally out to you!” The Swon Brothers also produced “Nothin’ Like That Girl,” the latest release from another country couple, Luke and Kaylee.
