Recent post-Voice releases include songs from Amy Vachal, Nathalie Hernandez and Mendeleyev.
Here’s a bit more about each of those releases. The links take you to the songs on Apple Music.
Amy Vachal, a Top 9 finisher on Season 9, was tapped to sing the theme song to Philippine drama / romance TV series “What We Could Be,” which began airing in August on the GMA Network. Juan Miquel Severno wrote that theme song by the same name, and it was released to streaming sites earlier this week. Amy is featured in the music video below. It’s the first release since 2020 for Amy, who’s mother is from the Phillippines.

Nathalie Hernandez from Season 3 has a new song out called “On You.” It’s a kiss-off song, and Nathalie said her friends accurately guessed her mood when she penned it. “Some of my friends said you must have been pretty angry when you wrote that. Yes. Yes, I was. Real heartbreak. The worst pain ever.” She smiles. “I’m in a much better place now.” It’s the first single from Nathalie in nearly two years.

Mendeleyev from Season 17 has released “Above and Beyond,” his second song in as many months. And there might be many more to come. Says Mendeleyev: “My current plan is to release a new song every month, so keep your ears out for October! I’ve been wanting to try this for a while, as I have way too many songs just sitting on hard drive. But this is something I think a lot of us musicians struggle with … How often should an artist share new music? How much is too much?”
