New post-Voice music out includes a pair of songs from Johnny Gates and country singles from Patrick Thomas and Jared Blake.

Here’s a bit about each of those releases. The links take you to the songs on Apple Music. Or you can check out Spotify snippets below.

Johnny Gates from Season 12 has released his first music since signing a publishing deal with Deluge Music of Nashville in mid-May. In fact, the new music comes in the form of two singles, “Loretta Lynn” and “Buy You a Beer.” Johnny wrote the latter with Lauren Luiz and Tyler Thompson, who produced both songs.

Patrick Thomas from Season 1 released his second single of 2020, “If Moving Were Easy,” on Friday. As the title implies, it’s a breakup song. Patrick celebrated by covering his favorite breakup songs on Instagram in the days leading up to the release and asking fans about the dumbest things they’d ever done to get over an ex. Patrick’s previous 2020 release was “Love Letters.”

Jared Blake from Season 2 released a fine country ballad called “A Better Man” last week. On Instagram, he shares the same sentiment as many of us: “Waiting on 2021 like …” But Jared’s enjoyed a fine 2020 in terms of releasing a string of strong singles. “Better Man” marks his sixth release this year. If you haven’t, be sure to check out “Blame It on the Devil” and his version of Eric Church’s “Stick That in Your Country Song.”
