Curtis Grimes, from Season 1, didn’t take long to follow up on a successful 2019 with new music in 2020. He released the country tune “River Road Dream” on Friday. He co-wrote the song with Trent Willmon. Curtis has also already announced several tour dates in Texas for 2020. As for 2019, he was named Texas CMA Entertainer of the Year, took the away for Texas CMA Christian Country Single of the Year and had his songs streamed on Spotify more than 7 million times.
Mia Z. (Zanotti), from Season 8, has collaborated with Dead Man Switch on a new single called “The One.” The song dropped New Year’s Day. On social media, Mia promises “this is just the beginning of a very musical year for all of us … and it’s an honor to work with these talented souls.” Dead Man Switch bills themselves as a rap-n-roll band out of Apollo, Pa.
Amanda Lee Peers, from Season 7, dropped a new single Friday called “Staring at the Stars.” The song features a vocal assist from Alphonso Williams. And it’s the first release from Amanda since her superb “Blood on Strings” in mid-2018.
