Season 3 finalist Nicholas David is among three former Voice contestants to release major projects in the last two weeks.

Those three artists also include Davina Leone and Gary Carpentier, both of whom released their sophomore EPs.

Nicholas David, the third-place finisher from Season 3, has released his fourth major project and his second full album since appearing on the show in 2012. The 11-song “Yesterday’s Gone” landed last week and stems from David’s invite to play keyboards for the Devon Allman Project on a 2018-19 world tour. He met blues singer-songwriter Samantha Fish on that trip and she wound up producing the new album, which Nicholas says brings together his vocal and keyboard skills unlike anything he’s done in the past. Nicholas is now opening for Samantha on tour and they’ll be stopping in Philly later this month.

* Gary Carpentier, from Season 13, released a five-song EP Friday called “Lucid.” Lead single “Special Kind of Love” dropped earlier, and you’ll definitely want to check out the excellent “9 to 5.” The EP is Gary’s second since the Voice. “Lucid: is the best way to describe this project,” writes Gary on Instagram. “For the first time in my life, I have directive … These songs are all exactly who I am. They’re happy, they’re sad, they’re car jams, and they’re something totally new.”

* Davina Leone from Season 12 has released her second EP in as many years. The six-song collection is called “Knowing.” Writes Davina on Instagram: “Everything you hear was done on my laptop in my lil apartment with my cat either peacefully asleep next to me or chewing his food too loud for me to record vocals. On nights where I had no one to talk to, no one to escape with, my music held me tight and this EP is the result.”
