Josh Gracin, New Idol Music

New release date for Josh Gracin’s new album

If you’ve been looking for it in stores or on iTunes, no, you did not miss a new album from Josh Gracin.

The oft-delayed album was scheduled for a Sept. 6 and then a Sept. 13 release.

But it’s been delayed again, with a new release date of Nov. 1, according to Josh’s publicist.

This is the same “Redemption” album he said was pretty much complete and ready for release in August 2010, before he stopped in York to perform at the York Fair.

In the meantime, Josh has released another single, his second this summer.

The first, “Long Way to Go,” strayed a bit from the country sound we’re used to hearing from Josh.

The newest single, “Can’t Say Goodbye,” is country through and through. It’s about a war widow’s determination not to forget her husband.

And a fitting song to be performed by Josh, a former Marine.

Proceeds from the song are going to the Sears’ Heroes at Home and Rebuilding Together Project, designed to assist military families facing hardship.

I’ve embedded the video for the song below.

When “Redemption” does appear, it will mark the third post-Idol album from Josh, who placed fourth back in season two.
