In Season 9, a record 14 singers turned all four chairs on The Voice.

So far this season, only four have turned the trick — Emily Keener, Caity Peters, Mary Sarah and Alisan Porter.

That’s right, four ladies. And two of them — Emily and Caity — are members of Team Pharrell.

Tonight, the search for a potential successor to Jordan Smith continues.

Hannah Huston, 24, Lincoln, Neb.: She describes herself as a super “giggly” pre-school teacher. She’s been singing at different coffee shops and a video of her students wishing her luck brings her to tears. She’ll perform “Unaware.” She delivers a couple of impressive, raspy glory notes, but it isn’t until the last minute that Blake, Christina and Pharrell turn around almost simultaneously. Christina says she loved her rasp. Pharrell compliments Hannah on a great voice. Blake likes the soulfulness in her voice. Hannah decides to join Team Pharrell.

Brian Nhira, 23, Tulsa, Okla.: He says his parents moved to the U.S. to pursue better opportunities. His parents now have 10 degrees and dream big, an attitude Brian says he’s adopted. He calls himself a pop singer and says he’s already performed at more than 400 events. Brian will audition with “Happy” by Pharrell and says he hopes The Voice coach “will appreciate what I’ve done with it.” Well, he’s certainly turning in a solid performance. But, once again, he’s nearly to the end before anyone turns around. This time it’s Pharrell and Blake. Pharrell encourages Brian to do a rendition of “Jesus Loves Me.” Brian delivers big time. Then he decides to join Team Pharrell.

Aija: She’s a backup singer who currently sings backup for Selena Gomez. She’s also the wife of Andy Grammer. She admits that, while proud of her husband’s success, she has trouble remaining in the background. She’ll audition with “Say Something.” She’s pouring plenty of passion into the performance, but she’s struggling to get a chair to turn. And the song ends with no one facing her direction.

Brittany Kennell, 26, Montreal, Canada: She calls herself a folk, singer-songwriter who has relocated to Nashville to pursue music. She says she feels like the kid on the sideline who isn’t being picked to play. She’ll sing “Strong Enough.” And displays a really nice voice immediately. Blake turns early in the performance. At the last moment, Blake gets competition from Pharrell. Blake calls his voice “magical.” Pharrell calls it a “great” performance and compliments her on a different tone. Brittany decides to join Team Blake.

Natalie Yacovazzi, 28, Chicago: She’s a credit card processor and a single mom who auditioned for Season 9, but failed to turn a chair. She’s returned, convinced this is her “last chance” to make a name for herself in the music industry. She’s going to sing “Mr. Know It All.” Dang, fantastic opening. And she has a chair turn from Adam in a heartbeat. Dang, Natalie is delivering one heck of an audition. Wow, that was my favorite of the night so far. Pharrell and Christina try to turn around, but it’s too late to count. Adam said the beginning of the performance was “fantastic.” And Natalie is a member of Team Adam.

Malik Heard, 18, Dallas, Texas: Both of his parents were athletes. Malik started out in sports as well, but turned to music as a high school sophomore. He got a partial scholarship after high school, but decided to put college on hold for The Voice. He’s performing “Chains.” And he earns chair turns from Pharrell Williams and Christina before he even hits the chorus. Christina compliments him on the “accurate, amazing runs” during his performance. Malik joins Team Christina.

Peyton Parker, 20, Kennesaw, Ga.: Growing up, Peyton loved cheerleading and envisioned spending her life coaching cheerleading. Then she injured herself and fell in love with music. She convinced her family to move to Nashville about three years ago so she can pursue music. She plans to audition with Fleetwood Mac’s “Dreams.” She gets early chair turns from Christina, Pharrell and Blake. Christina says she loved what she heard and reminds Peyton the country competition wouldn’t be as stiff on her team. Blake compliments her on perfect pitch. Peyton opts to chose Team Blake.

Blake also landed Gina Castanzo and Trey O’Dell in auditions we see just a snippet of.

Kristen Marie, 20, Oklahoma City, Okla.: Her senior year in high school, she auditioned for a talent show and did well. She’s studying musical theater in college. She’s going to audition with “Mad World.” Okay, I really like this. Her unique vocals prompt a chair turn from Christina. And from Blake. Christina said she heard a little Adele and Sia in Kristen’s voice. Despite the Oklahoma connection, Kristen joins Team Christina.

Evan Taylor Jones, 25, Orlando, Fla.: He plays up and down Florida five nights a week and says he’s ready to take the next step. He calls himself a soul-rock artist, but he’s decided to audition with “Homegrown” by the Zac Brown Band. I thought the was pretty good. I’m surprised no one turned.

Nate Butler, 19, Shamong, N.J.: He’s been singing since he was young and joined the Philadelphia Boys Choir. He got picked up for pursuing music, but says that changed when he got involved in musical theater in high school. He’s singing “The Walk.” Nate is showing off impressive range. At the last moment, Adam, Blake and Pharrell all turn their chairs. Pharrell compliments the soulful tone to his voice. Adam says Nate was masterful during the better parts of his audition. Blake says he heard tons of potential in Nate’s performance. Nate joins Team Adam.

Ryan Quinn, 25, Westmoreland, N.Y.: Ryan says his dad taught him everything he knows about music. He co-teaches music classes to kids who have suffered trauma in their life. Meanwhile, Ryan struggles with Lyme Disease. He voices a pre-audition preference for Pharrell because he’s not tied down to one genre. Ryan sings “Can’t Find My Way Home.” Christina turns within the first couple lines. By the time the performance ends, all of the other coaches have turned as well, making Ryan the first guy to earn a four-chair turn in Season 10. Christina says Ryan has a voice that should be heard worldwide. Ryan decides to join Team Adam.
