Gurpreet Singh Sarin is the guy with the turbans who we met on Wednesday’s episode of American Idol. Dubbed the turbanator, he just might have made it to Hollywood because he has a turban that happened to match the color of Nicki Minaj’s wig on the day he auditioned.
Ashlee Feliciano, 20, of East Hartford, Conn., was the final contestant we heard from in American Idol’s New York audition episode. Her family’s back-story was featured because Ashlee’s parents have adopted four medically challenged youngsters, after having three kids of their own.
Christina “Isabelle” drew rave reviews Wednesday night on American Idol with her rendition of “Summertime.” The 21-year-old Berklee School of Music student performs as Isabelle and has worked with a wedding band in the Boston area. And she’s equally impressive in the videos below.
Shira Gavrielov was one of the six female contestants we met on American Idol Wednesday night who made it to Hollywood. The 23-year-old resides in Brooklyn now, but grew up in Israel. She’s also one of the Idol contestants who has already released music — specifically, an album called “Clear Vision” that’s available on iTunes.

We met Sarah Restuccio on Wednesday’s episode of Idol. She’s the gal who sang “Mama’s Song” by Carrie Underwood, then followed it up by rapping “Super Bass” by Nicki Minaj.
Tenna Torres, 28, of Queens, N.Y., was featured on Wednesday’s audition episode of American Idol. Last year, she made it all the way to the Las Vegas round before being cut.
For weeks, the focus has been on the new American Idol judges. On the Nicki-Mariah feud. On Nicki saying she’s not sure she can trust herself on live TV. On Mariah saying it’s all a distraction from where the focus should be — the contestants. And on poor Keith Urban being caught in the middle…
