Phillip’s debut album will be out before Thanksgiving

Update:Phillip Phillips sent out a tweet this morning confirming the Nov. 19 release date and the name of the album. Heck, he even sent out a photo of the cover.

Earlier blog:MTV correctly pointed out this morning that Amazon.com has posted a release date for a debut album from American Idol Season 11 winner Phillip Phillips.

Amazon lists the album for a Nov. 19 release, which would be consistent with what the show has tried to do in the future — which is to get the winner’s debut album in stores before Black Friday.

The album title, according to Amazon, is “The World From the Side of the Moon.”

Last week, Phillip tweeted about the album’s progress, sending out one that said “only 4 more songs to sing” on Thursday.

Phillip is still riding the wave of success of “Home,” his coronation single.

Fifteen weeks after its release, the song is still number 25 on the Hot 100 and in the top 10 on at least three of Billboard’s many charts — adult pop songs, adult contemporary and rock songs.

“Home” went platinum — 1 million downloads — back in August.
