With Season 7 of The Voice opening Monday night, have you been wondering what Season 6 winner Josh Kaufman is up to?

Well, he’s Broadway bound for one thing, which marks a first for a winner of the show.

He’ll play the title role in “Pippin'” on Broadway from Nov. 4 to Jan. 4 at the Music Box Theatre.

And so the 38-year-old from Indianapolis will transform into a prince who tires of life in his kingdom and sets out to find his place in the world.

“After winning @NBCTheVoice, more dreams are coming true,” Kaufman wrote last week on his Facebook page. “I finally make my Broadway debut in @PippinMusical!”

The show — with Kyle Dean Massey in the lead role — won a 2013 Tony for best Broadway revival.

As for new music from Josh, well, he’s working on that too.

He told his hometown TV station WTHR that he’ll likely release a single early next year and might even perform the song during Season 7 of The Voice.

Josh also performed the national anthem a week ago before the Monday night NFL game between the Indianapolis Colts and Philadelphia Eagles.
