If you haven’t been tuning in to “Duets” (count me among that crowd) …
If you’re suffering from music show withdrawal (don’t count me among that crowd, at least not yet) …
… there’s news today (note I didn’t write ‘good news’).
The X Factor just tweeted that the show will return on Wednesday, Sept. 12, and Thursday, Sept. 13, for a two-night Season 2 premiere.
I’m guessing two hours worth of premiere each night. Unless FOX opts to show us some mercy. But the FOX mantra is generally along the lines of more is better because more means more advertising dollars.
Anyway, circle Sept. 12 on your calender, because that’s the first time we’ll get to see Demi Lovato and Britney Spears in the roles that used to belong to Nicole Scherzinger and Paula Abdul.
I figure folks will tune in to see Britney. I’m still scratching my head over the choice of Demi. But, hey, Simon Cowell must know what he’s doing right?
Well, you wouldn’t know it by watching the first season of The X Factor, which was an overblown, over-hyped and under-talented mess.
And, since I can’t imagine Simon lowering the volume on the hype …
Well, it will probably take more than two nights for us to find out whether he’s uncovered the talent to live up to the hype in Season 2.
