New post-Voice music out includes singles from Rebecca Brunner, Gary Carpentier and Kristen Marie.

Here’s a bit about each of those releases.

Rebecca Brunner from The Voice Season 13

Rebecca Brunner from The Voice Season 13

* Rebecca Brunner from Season 13 is back with a ridiculously addictive single called “Round Hole.” As in, “I’m okay being a square in a round hole.” Collaborator Ryan Ward calls the story behind the song mind-blowing, saying he met Rebecca three and a half years ago and they released a cover of Lady Gaga’s “Always Remember Us This Way.” Then they went their separate ways. Then Rebecca showed up at The Song House in Nashville one night and recorded a clip singing the chorus of the new song. It went viral on TikTok, to the tune of 4 million views. “We finished writing and recording the song in 48 hours,” Ryan recalls. And now, in her words, “after years of never releasing music for fear of it not being good enough,” Rebecca has a single out.

Gary Carpentier from The Voice Season 13

* Gary Carpentier, from Season 13, has released “Changin’,” an upbeat pop song celebrating how people change over the course of their life. He relates because he grew up focused on baseball and played until college “when I found my true calling.” That would be music, of course. “I miss the game, but so happy I’m chasing this dream I’ve always wanted,” Gary writes on social media. “Music and performing is what gives me life.” “Changin'” marks Gary’s first single of 2022.

Kirsten Marie from The Voice Season 10

* Kristen Marie, from Season 10, has a pop single out called “Goddess.” It’s her first release in years. Of course, she’s been a bit busy since she became Kristen Marie Merritt, J.D. last year. She thanks @brinewebb “for making this song so much more than just me yodeling at a piano.”
