Ryan Sill nails down spot in the live playoffs on The Voice

Gwen Stefani encouraged Ryan Sill to show a little more swag and a little less nerves during the knockout round on The Voice.

So Ryan took the stage in a leather jacket, sang Ne-Yo’s “Miss Independent” and pranced all over the stage.

The result: A knockout round victory over Beth Spangler that propelled the 20-year-old from Sterling, Va., into the show’s live playoffs.

Gwen said she picked Ryan to advance because he’s shown so much progress during his short time on the show.

Beth sang “Too Little Too Late.” Because she was not stolen, she was eliminated from the competition.
