Who has the strongest team on Season 26 of The Voice?
That would be Gwen Stefani, looking for her second coaching victory on The Voice in her eighth season as a coach.
The 14 artists on Team Gwen turned a total of 38 chairs during the blind auditions, more than the singers on any other coach’s team.
Perhaps more importantly, Gwen landed six four-chair turn artists, Austyns Stancil, Camryn Brooks, Frankie Torres, Jose Luiz, Gabrielle Zabosky and Sydney Sterlace.
No other coach has more than four four-chair turns on his or her team.
Snoop Dogg has the fewest with three, but they include Georgia Starnes, DREION and Jake Tankersley. And it only takes one talented singer to win the show.
Speaking of four chair turns, there sure were a lot of them in the blinds. Part of that might have been the eagerness of having two rookies — Snoop and Michael Buble — on the coaching panel. Partly, it’s a testament to the talent The Voice casting department rounded up for Season 26.
And in spite of the presence of some stellar young singers like Jaukeem Fortson, who just turned 14, this is a pretty veteran cast.
More than a third (19) of the 56 cast members are 30 or older. And those singers accounted for six of those four-chair turns.
The battles between Monday night and will run for the next two weeks on The Voice.
Here’s a look at how the teams stack up entering the battles. The number is parenthesis behind each singer is the number of chairs that artist turned.
I’ve posted individual profiles of nearly every Season 26 artist. Following the links below will take you to those profiles.
