What the Top 8 will sing tonight on The Voice

0
just two more weeks left in Season 10 of The Voice.

Tonight, the Top 8 take the stage with spots in next week’s finals on the line.

And we won’t just be treated to solo performances. The Top 8 are pairing up as duos as well. You can check out a promo for those at right.

As of now, only the solo performances are posted to iTunes.

Perhaps that means downloads won’t be available for the duets and those performances won’t affect voting.

If so, that’s a wise decision, since The Voice has decided to pair up two of the most popular artists (Alisan Porter and Adam Wakefield) and two of the most likely to be eliminated (Shalyah Fearing and Paxton Ingram) for those duets.

Here are tonight’s solo song choices. Paxton, for some reason, is tackling a second power ballad from Meatloaf. Hey, I love the Meatloaf-Jim Steinman collaborations. It’s just not what I’d expect Paxton to tackle. And those songs are often very long and hard to effectively condense into 90 seconds.

That said, the iTunes version sounds pretty good. So do the songs by Adam and Alisan.

Remember, don’t download from iTunes until the end of the show, or those downloads won’t count as votes.

Adam Wakefield (Team Blake): “I’m Sorry” by Blake Shelton

Alisan Porter (Team Christina): “Desperado” by the Eagles

Bryan Bautista (Team Christina): “Hurt” by Christina Aguilera

Hannah Huston (Team Pharrell): “When a Man Loves a Woman” by Percy Sledge

Laith Al-Saadi (Team Adam): “One and Only” by Adele

Mary Sarah (Team Blake): “I Told You So” by Randy Travis and Carrie Underwood

Paxton Ingram (Team Blake): “I’d Do Anything for Love (But I Won’t Do That)” by Meatloaf

Shalyah Fearing (Team Adam): “And I’m Telling You I’m Not Going” from Dreamgirls
