The fourth berth in the finals on The Voice will be determined via a Twitter save this week.

So which singer among the finale eight has the advantage if he or she needs that instant save come Tuesday night?

Well, we’ve heard Blake Shelton talk about Mary Sarah’s large social media following, and he’s not joking.

With more than 84,000 followers on Twitter, she has 50,000 more than anyone else still on the show.

But the bulk of those followers are from her pre-Voice days. In fact, since the live playoffs, four contestants — Alisan Porter, Hannah Huston, Paxton Ingram and Bryan Bautista — have added more Twitter followers than Mary Sarah.

Barring a major upset, Alisan will make the finals without the need of a Twitter save. Barring a change in voting patterns, Paxton will land in the bottom two and be automatically eliminated Tuesday night.

That’s not a knock on Paxton, it’s just the way things have gone on The Voice. No singer who landed in the bottom two this season has escaped the bottom two the following week.

That leaves Hannah and Bryan as the contestants who have attracted the most new followers on Twitter and might be singing for that save Tuesday night.

In fact, Hannah, the pre-school teacher from Nebraska, has been surging on social media. In addition to the third most new followers on Twitter, she ranks second on the show in new Instagram followers and first in new Facebook fans since the live playoffs.

Below is a look at the social media numbers for the Top 8 as of 11 p.m. Saturday. The first number is the number of fans or followers each contestant had at that time. The second number indicates their social media following right before the live playoffs. The third number is the number of new fans or followers they’ve gained.

Check back Monday and Tuesday night for live blogs as The Voice fans select a Top 4 for Season 10.
