It’ll be in effect for the first time Tuesday night, when the bottom two are announced as this spring’s Top 12 becomes a Top 11.
And to explain the process to fans who might be new to the show, The Voice turned to Season 9 fan favorite Korin Bukowski.
Korin does so delightfully. Of course, she speaks from experience. The Voice dubbed her “queen of the instant save.”
Korin was actually saved three times during Season 9 — by Gwen Stefani during the live playoffs and via the instant save on consecutive weeks when the finals began.
The result: A young woman who describes herself as “a professional numnut who sings from time to time” wound up advancing all the way to the Top 10. Along the way, she delivered one of the season’s feel-good stories and a magical performance of Kodaline’s “All I Want.” (You can watch all her Voice performances here.)
Korin says she recently moved from Miami to Los Angeles to pursue acting and music. She announced the move with her typical quirky sense of humor on Facebook about a month ago, writing: “Ok, Miami, it’s been real. Thank you for raising me in your swamp for 21 years and making me the person I am today.”
And Korin fans will be thrilled to hear this: She’s working on a EP.
“I’m very excited about it,” she says. “It should be released no later than this summer. So VERY SOON.”
