Zach Seabaugh EP coverSeason 9 Voice standout Zach Seabaugh has been tweeting about releasing a single called “Nothing Good” today.

Surprise! Zach has a five-song, self-titled EP out this morning.

And to say it’s being well received would be an understatement.

By 8:30 a.m., it was already number four on the iTunes country albums chart and number 24 on the site’s overall albums chart. By 9:30 a.m., it was at number 16 on the overall chart. And by 3:30 p.m., he had moved up to number 10.

The only singers ahead of him on the country albums chart: Dierks Bentley, Blake Shelton and Chris Stapleton, in that order. Sorta ironic seeing his name right beside Chris Stapleton on the chart. On Sunday, Zach posted a Facebook photo of himself and fellow Season 9 Voice standout Emily Ann Roberts at a Chris Stapleton concert.

Back to Zach’s music. The full title of that single is actually “Nothing Good Happens After Midnight,” and its a catchy up-tempo tune.

The EP also features a fun tune called “Home to Mama” that just might remind you of something Elvis might have performed back in the. I’ve embedded live versions of those tunes below.

Prefer ballads? Zach serves up two of those too — “Sweet Wine and Power Lines” and “Saturdays.”

You’ll recall that Zach, from Marietta, Ga., was just 16 when he auditioned for The Voice with Sam Hunt’s “Take Your Time” and turned three chairs.

He joined Team Blake Shelton and advanced all the way to the Top 6 before being eliminated.

Since then, he’s done a number of performances with Emily Ann, who finished second to Jordan Smith. In fact, they’ll both be performing at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta on June 15.
