Zhavia Ward drops debut single; Evvie McKinney’s lands next week

As promised, Season 1 The Four standout Zhavia Ward dropped her debut single Friday.

And it’s doing pretty well on iTunes. At 11 a.m., nearly 12 hours after its release, the song was number 71 on iTunes overall singles chart. It was sitting at 21 on the pop singles chart.

Zhavia and Season 1 winner Evvie McKinney returned for Thursday’s comeback episode of The Four and performed in the opening group number.

In the brief interview afterward with Fergie, Zhavia reminded fans that she’s signed with Columbia Records and been featured on the song “Welcome to My Party” from the “Deadpool” soundtrack.

The video for that song has 81 million views on YouTube.

As for Season 1 winner Evvie?

She’ll have a debut single out next week. In fact, she’ll perform it on the season finale of The Four. And Diddy promises that it’s “a smash.”

Evvie talked more about the song on the red carpet for the finale — yep, it’s already been filmed, folks — with Talent Recap.

“It’s not just a song. I went through everything this song is talking about, the pain and the passion,” she told the site in a red carpet interview. “It’s not fake. It’s very, very real.”

Here’s “Candlelight” and photos of Evvie and Zhavia returning to The Four.
