Last year marked the first since 2006 when a former American Idol contestant didn’t win at least one Grammy. With five Grammys to her credit, Carrie Underwood was largely responsible for the Idol winning streak.
The stars turned out for Clive Davis’ annual pre-Grammy Gala Saturday night. Former Idol contestants Jennifer Hudson and Jordin Sparks showed up on the pre-party red carpet, along with musicians ranging from Alice Cooper to Wiz Khalifa. Idol judge Randy Jackson and host Ryan Seacrest were also on hand.
