Sunday night at the Oscars will be more about acting than music, but a former Idol contestant will still be performing. Jennifer Hudson will participate in a tribute to the resurgence of big-screen musicals, the Oscar folks announced earlier this week.
Now that was a little bit painful. OK, the highlights: Curtis Finch and Devin Velez turned in solid vocals. Charlie Askew turned in a heartfelt, sorta quirky performance that worked.
