Actually, Ryan, it doesn’t qualify as a surprise if everyone knew it was going to happen since Monday. I’m talking about Thursday’s results show on American Idol, of course. In what was billed as a dramatic twist, Idol decided to send no one home Thursday night.
Earlier this week, I wrote ‘don’t worry, be happy” because American Idol had its singer shortage under control. After being infuriated by last night’s one-sided, the sun-shines-only-on-Amber critiques, I’ve decided to take that very attitude into tonight’s show.
Maybe, just maybe, American Idol’s ratings are in a nosedive because of the show’s blatant attempts to manipulate the outcome. Never was it more apparent than Wednesday night.
