Unless a former contestant has returned, I have this bad habit of paying only half attention to the TV during American Idol results shows. After all, they amount to 55 minutes of filler, leading up to five minutes of suspense.
Well, we won’t have The Dawg to complain about anymore. No more “in it to win it?” No more he/she “can sing the phone book?” Oh, what will we do?
So it’s Kree Harrison versus Candice Glover for the American Idol title after a somewhat shocking Thursday night elimination show. First off, congrats to Candice, the gal from St. Helena Island, S.C., who had tried out for Idol twice before and failed to make it even to the semifinals.

So, today’s American Idol chatter revolves around a report from The Wrap that FOX plans to fire all four judges at the end of the season. My response: “Don’t stop there.” If heads are going to roll over declining ratings in Season 12, take the producers, too. Please. Very please.
