In fact, tickets go on sale Friday at 10 a.m.

Tickets for the show will be $49.50, $39.50 and $29.50 (plus processing fees). There’s a limit of eight tickets per customer.

The tickets can be charged by phone at 534-3911 or purchased online at HersheyEntertainment.com.

Fans interested in prime seating can show up as early as 7 a.m. Friday at the Hersheypark Entertainment Complex.

Two hours before tickets go on sale, fans will be directed to the Hersheypark Stadium Box Office, where they will be issued wristbands.

Wristbands will be available for one hour. For the Daughtry/Kris Allen concert, that means between 8 and 9 a.m. At the end of the hour, a number will be drawn, determining the order in which tickets will be sold.

Confused? Here’s Hersheypark’s explanation:

If 1,000 wristbands are issued during the hour and the number 500 is selected, the person wearing wristband 500 will be the first person in line. Numbers 501 to 1,000 will proceed in line behind, followed by numbers 1 through 499.

Once the line is in place, everyone arriving after the wristbands were issued will be escorted to the end of the numbered line.

Kris Allen, American Idol’s season eight winner, announced this tour date back in early March. It’s one of a handful where he’ll be opening for Daughtry.

At the time, Hersheypark officials declined to confirm the date or reveal when tickets would go on sale.

Chris Daughtry, of course, has enjoyed great success since finishing fourth in season five. His band has two albums on the Billboard 200, “Leave This Town,” released last summer, and, remarkably, “Daughtry,” the band’s debut album released back in November 2006.
