The Monday night showdown between American Idol and The Voice is becoming a one-sided battle.

And the size of the audience between the two shows keeps growing.

For the fifth straight week since The Voice began airing Season 29 episodes, it was drubbed by Idol Monday night.

Idol’s rating among 18 to 49 years olds and its total audience nudged slightly higher for the second week of Top 20 performance.

It’s rating checked in at 0.41, best of the night among the major networks. It’s total audience was estimated at 4.79 million.

That’s up from 3.88 million last year, when the second part also aired on a Monday night.

The Voice ratings slipped slightly to 0.23. It’s total audience checked in at an estimated 2.93 million, down from 3.04 the week before.

And I’m still wondering what’s going to happen to the ratings when Voice fans realize they won’t have a single chance to vote in Season 29.

You’re wondering what’s going to happen when the decreasing “Voice” viewers are going to do when they realize they can’t vote?

They won’t watch the show anymore.
