New post-Voice music out includes singles from three ladies we met on the show — Taryn Papa, Genesis Diaz and Davina Leone.
Here’s a bit more about each of those releases. The links take you to the songs on Apple Music.
* Taryn Papa from Season 19 released a new country single called “Awake” on Thursday. “This track was so special for me to write because, for the first time, I had the inspiration for a love song,” she writes on Instagram. “And I found it in a hunky 6’4 guy from Nebraska.” It’s follows “Dream Girl” as Taryn’s second single since The Voice and “is a beginning piece of a bigger project coming soon, and I couldn’t be more excited,” she adds.
* Genesis Diaz, from Season 14, has released her second Latin single, “Fuego Lento” (“Slow Fire” in English). There’s an accompanying music video, which you can check out below, and even a bit of rap at the end. The last release from Genesis, “Champagne,” dropped in November and the music video has surpassed 1 million views on YouTube. After appearing on The Voice in 2016, Genesis became a contestant on Season 1 of La Voz in 2019 and made it all the way to the semifinals.
* Davina Leone, from Season 12, scolds a guy for taking her for granted in “Comfortable.” As in “you got too comfortable with me.” She so packs her bags and leaves. It’s Davina’s first song of 2022, but won’t be her last judging from her track record. Since released three EPs and several singles since The Voice, including four songs in 2021.
