Kelly Clarkson, New Idol Music

Kelly Clarkson to debut new single on Aug. 30

The Aemrican Idol release calendar for 2011 just got a whole lot more exciting.

That’s because we’re only about two months away from the release of a new Kelly Clarkson album, her fifth since winning the first season of American Idol.

And we won’t even have to wait that long for new music from Kelly.

She’ll debut her new single, “Mr. Know It All,” during a live webcast from 5:30 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 30. You can RSVP to listen in on Kelly’s Facebook page.

The single will be available for download everywhere on Sept. 5; pre-orders for the album, “Stronger,” are being taken now at Kelly’s website.

Speaking of which, she’s consolidated her two websites into one at kellyclarkson.com.

No offense to Carrie Underwood or David Cook or Fantasia, but I thought Kelly’s last album, “All I Ever Wanted,” was the best from an Idol winner in the last two years.

That CD debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and yielded three top 20 hits on the Hot 100, including “My Life Would Suck Without You,” “I Do Not Hook Up,” and “Already Gone.”

    Ola! Ydtalk,
Maybe a little off topic, however, Season 1- Kelly Clarkson- “A Moment Like This”
Season 2- Ruben Studdard- “Flying Without Wings”
Season 3- Fantasia Barrino- “I Believe”
Season 4- Carrie Underwood- “Inside Your Heaven”
Season 5- Taylor Hicks- “Do I Make You Proud”
Season 6- Jordin Sparks- “This Is My Now”
Season 7- David Cook- “The Time of My Life”

Isn’t it funny how the winner’s songs all have to do with them winning? I guess it’s a thing for American Idol.
    Great Job!
