American Idol Jamal Roberts has a single out and is headed out on tour this fall

He’ll be one of the opening acts on The Boy is Mine Tour featuring Brandy and Monica.

Kelly Rowland and Muni Long will also perform.

The tour beings Oct. 16 in Cincinnati and turns through Dec. 7 with a final stop in Houston, Texas.

In between will be stops in Baltimore (Nov. 2), Washington, D.C. (Nov. 30) and Atlantic City, N.J.

“The things God is doing in my life 🥺,” Jamal posted in announcing the news. “Hmmmmm and new music is on the way.”

In fact, he released his first-Idol single, “Mississippi,” on July 25. The song has more than 250,000 streams on Spotify. You can check out the music video below.

Also a former contestant on BET’s “Sunday’s Best,” Jamal has two songs on streaming sites, a Christian single called “He’s Preparing Me” and 2020 and a cover of “Heal” that was released in conjunction with the American Idol finale.
