Her audition: Revel Day, 31, of Calif., performed “Somewhere Only We Know” by Keane. Revel showed off nice range and got quick chair turns from Michael Buble and Niall Horan. His voice soared after that, enticing a chair turn from Reba McEntire as well. Niall complimented his strong opening and the fact that he sang an indie song. Reba liked his big, round voice. Michael praised his vocal control. With his wife providing an assist, Revel decided to join Team Niall.

Here’s more about Revel:

* He’s a 30-year-old singer and songwriter, born and raised in California, with lots of already released music.

* That includes three albums, “Church Boy” from 2017, “Paper Love” from 2020 and “Color” from 2023. “Baby It’s You” from the 2020 album has been streamed more than 2.6 million times on Spotify.

* Revel’s most recent release is a collaboration with friend Megan Tibbits called “Loving You.” The song dropped in April. Check it out below.

* His web bio indicates that he started performing at age 12 and performs a wide range of music, from R&B to gospel to alternative soul.

* On Facebook, he describes himself as “somewhere between quirky and cool maker of music, feeler of feelings and lover of people.”

* He’s also worked as a background vocalist for Andy Grammar, Pharrell, Vance Joy, Kirk Franklin and Stevie Wonder, according to one web bio.

* In 2020, he was songwriting / production duo called R.A.D. that released a self-titled album. Four tracks — led by “Lose” and “Me N You” — have more than 1 million streams on Spotify.

* In a “Who is Revel Day” video on YouTube, Revel explains that he grew up in a musical family. Both of his parents were singers and his brother played piano. “So it was like, ‘Sing or not be loved’ by the family,” he says jokingly.

* He also has a background as a dancer and choreographer.
