Morgan Lett of The Voice Season 30

Morgan Lett is among the artists rumored to have earned a spot on Season 30 of The Voice.

The Voice returns to NBC on Monday, Sept. 21 with the coaching quartet of Kelly Clarkson, Adam Levine, Queen Latifah and Riley Green.

Here’s more about Morgan:

* She’s Morgan Denise Lett, 27, from Akron, Ohio, an R&B and gospel singer who graduated from Georgia State University this spring with a degree in music production and audio recording and is based in Atlanta.

* Her graduation was certainly a moment to celebrate, because Morgan started her college career back in 2017. But she lost a sister named Taylor in December of 2019 and says “I had to step away for a minute and regroup, refocus and honestly just grow through life. But one thing about me — I always come back to finish what I started.”

* She often performs as simply Morgan and has music out and more on the way.

* Her debut single, “Peace,” dropped in 2023 and was followed by a Christian single called “About Him” that same year. And in 2025, she released an acoustic version of a song called “Moment” that she wrote.

* As for that new music, Morgan’s been promoting a song called “Friendzone” on social media, saying it’s “coming soon.” And she’s launched a Go Fund Me to help support a debut EP called “Mozaic.”

* “This project is deeply personal to me and represents years of growth, not only as an artist, but as a person navigating love, heartbreak, faith, and finding my worth,” she writes. “While this is not solely a gospel project, my faith is at the center of everything I do, and these songs reflect the stories and lessons that have shaped me.” She launched the fundraiser in mid-August and is about half way toward meeting her $1,300 goal.

* Morgan says she began singing at age 7 and her inspirations include Brandy, Fantasia, Jill Scott and Anita Baker. Check out her impressive vocals on a cover of Jill Scott’s “The Way” below.

* She wound up with the nickname “Little Aretha” for her soulful sound and powerhouse vocals.

* In 2023, she auditioned for American Idol and earned a golden ticket. But she also admits the fact that she didn’t make it farther on the show caused her to step away from music for a while.

* In May of 2025, she posted on social media: “I’m back working on music and I’m kicking the door down this time!” It appears she’s been performing regularly ever since and she has more than 60,000 likes on her TikTok.

* Other career highlights to date include touring Europe with the Best of Harlem Gospel Choir and the Mississippi Gospel Choir and performing with Yolanda Adams and Sasha Keable. She was also selected to perform in the Love Scene R&B Concert, a showcase of Atlanta’s finest independent R&B talent.
