Lexi Stephens from The Voice Season 30

Her audition: Lexi Stephens, 23, Albany, N.Y., “Die on This Hill” by Sienna Spiro: Lexi’s strong opening earned an immediate chair turn from Adam Levine. Hey, she has a lovely tone. Kelly Clarkson recognized it and turned too, followed by Riley Green. Lexi can belt too. Queen Latifah makes it a four-chair turn. And Lexi ended wonderfully with one heck of a glory note. Adam praised her for delivering “by far” the best audition and predicted she’d win the show. Queen Latifah called it masterful. Kelly and Riley praised her performance as well, with Kelly pointing to her four wins and singing show background as the reason she’d be the perfect coach for Lexi. Tuesday’s show ended without revealing Lexi’s coaching choice.

Here’s more about Lexi:

* She’s a graduate of the Boston Conservatory at Berklee where she majored in musical theater with a minor in songwriting and her website identifies her as a New York based actor.

* And she knows something about singing competitions, having auditioned for American Idol in 2023 (Season 21) and earning a golden ticket to Hollywood. Her performances on Idol apparently did not air.

* She also competed with an a cappella group at Berklee called Upper Structure that scored a semifinal win at the International Championship of Collegiate A Cappella in the spring of 2024.

* That earned Upper Structure a spot in the finals in New York City. Upper Structure finished third; Lexi was the featured soloist on the group’s performance of “Begin Again.”

* Since graduating college, she landed the role of Bella in the White Plains Performing Arts Center’s production of the musical “Jagged Little Pill.”

* Writes Lexi: “Luckiest girl in the world to have met all these wonderful people immediately after moving to the city & luckiest girl in the world to do this powerful role.”

* Lexi is a graduate of Palm Harbor University High School in Palm Harbor, Fla. and also competed in a cappella there as part of highly successful The After School Specials.

* Lexi has said she started singing at a young age, focusing on pop music. She later switched her focus to musical theater.

* And in 2021, she won a $3,000 scholarship as the top theater student in the Walker’s Rising Stars Scholarship Competition featuring top arts students from schools in Pinellas County, Fla.

* Lexi already has more than 13,000 followers on her TikTok. One of her most popular covers there is her rendition of Bruno Mars’ “Talking to the Moon.” Check it out below.
