The Voice has promised improvements to its format for Season 30.
Six weeks of live shows. The return of fan voting.
But it might take fans a while to catch on.
Monday’s season premiere drew a 0.40 rating and 5.33 million fans, according to TV Ratings Guide.
Those numbers are nearly identical to last fall’s season premiere, who also recorded a 0.4 rating and drew 5.21 million viewers. This year’s jump in viewership is about for the fall 2025 premiere. The viewership drop amounts to about 2 percent.
The good news for The Voice is that the premiere ratings were up significantly from last spring, when the show was forced to go head to head with American Idol every Monday. And lost badly. Every Monday.
The spring premiere of The Voice had a 0.31 rating and 3.84 million viewers.
The Voice launched Season 30 with a two-hour show on Monday, followed by one-hour audition episodes Tuesday and Wednesday. Ratings for Tuesday and Wednesday aren’t available yet.
This week, the show returns to its regular schedule with a two-hour show on Monday only. Next week, The Voice will conclude the blind auditions with two-hour shows on Monday and Tuesday.
