Gabrielle Greene says there wasn’t one thing that prompted her to try out for American Idol in Galveston, but that she was “really excited” to do so.
But not as excited as she was after getting her golden ticket. She says that immediately became her favorite American Idol moment.
Like many of the Idol contestants from Texas, Gabrielle points to Kelly Clarkson as her favorite Idol and is impressed that she’s still going strong with her career.
In addition to her voice, Gabrielle thinks her personality will set her apart.
She’s goofy, she says, and not easily embarrassed.
“I can bring my awesome personality and make people smile,” she says, with a big smile of her own.
Gabrielle is from Houston.
