Stefano Langone, seventh-place finisher on American Idol last year, will return to the show Thursday night to perform his new single.

The song is called “I’m On a Roll,” and it premiered Friday morning on Live with Ryan Seacrest.

It’s a dance/club song featuring New Boyz and Rock Mafia.

And I certainly wouldn’t have recognized it as a Stefano tune because it’s different from anything he did on Idol.

But, you know what, it sounds like a potential hit.

The song will be available for download on iTunes as of Tuesday.

Stefano’s first album is set for release this summer by Hollywood Records.
