Season eight American Idol runner-up Adam Lambert was one of the stars of the show at the MuchMusic Awards in Toronto Sunday night.
Haven’t heard of that awards show?
I hadn’t either, until I started getting e-mail alerts about photos of Adam from the event.
The annual awards are sponsored by the Canadian music video channel MuchMusic, and while many of the awards are strictly for Canadian artists, there are also a number of international honors, with most of the nominees in those categories coming from the U.S.
Not only did Adam perform “Whataya Want From Me,” he also walked away with the UR Fave International Video Award.
Not bad considering the other nominees included Lady Gaga, Baby Gaga (aka Ke$ha), Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift. The UR Fave awards are doled out based on fan voting.
Speaking of Miley, she played co-host of the event. From her outfits to her song titles, Ms. Miley’s apparently trying to convince everyone she’s all grown up now.
Big winners of the night included Justin Bieber and Hedley, a Canadian pop-rock band whose lead singer (Jacob Hoggard) placed third on Canadian Idol in 2004.
Anyway, here are the photos from Adam’s appearance on the show. After the photos, you’ll find a YouTube video clip of his performance.
