American Music Award nominations were announced Tuesday, with more than a little help from season eight runner-up Adam Lambert and former Idol judge Paula Abdul.
I mean, just check out the photos. Looks like Paula was having lots of fun.
Anyway, down to what matters — the nominations.
Former Idol contestants snagged just two.
Daughtry, fresh of the release of its second album, was nominated in the favorite adult contemporary category. Other nominees include Jason Mraz and Taylor Swift.
Carrie Underwood, predictably enough, was nominated as favorite female country vocalist. Her competition will include Taylor Swift and Reba McIntire.
Taylor, Eminem and Lady Gaga were among those receiving the most nominations. All three are nominated as artist of the year, along with Kings of Leon and Michael Jackson.
You can go here for a complete list of nominees. And you can go here to vote for your favorite.
The American Music Awards will be broadcast on ABC Sunday, Nov. 22 at 8 p.m.
And what was Adam Lambert doing helping unveil the nominees?
Glad you asked. He’ll be performing on the show.
