When WGTY announced the lineup for the Radio Stage at the York Fair a couple weeks back, one open spot remained — the 6:30 p.m. show on Saturday, Sept. 15.

It’s now been filled by a familiar face for York County fans of country music.

Lauren Alaina, the Season 10 runner-up on American Idol, will be returning to York for the third time in a year to perform a free concert at the fair.

Lauren was the headliner for a Christmas show at the fairgrounds back in December. She made a non-singing appearance at the York Revolution Fanfest in the spring, answering questions from fans, signing autographs and throwing out the first pitch.

There will be no first pitch this time around, but expect plenty of music from Lauren’s successful debut album.

She’ll be one of two former Idol finalists to appear on the Radio Stage during the fair’s run. Casey James will perform the 6:30 p.m. show on Sunday, Sept. 9.

He finished third on Idol Season 9 and released a self-titled debut album earlier this year.
