If, like me, you went looking for a free listen to Michael Johns’ first post-Idol single, “Heart on My Sleeve” this week, you probably couldn’t find it.
Good reason for that. The release has been pushed back to April 14, Michael announced on his Web site earlier this week.
The single is the precursor of his upcoming CD, “Hold Back My Heart.” No word on whether the June 2 release date for the album still holds.
Michael recently spoke to an Australian radio station about the project and said the album will have a rock-soul sound, sorta like “Joe Cocker meets Otis Redding.” You can listen to the interview here.
In the meantime, if you just can’t wait for some Michael Johns music, plenty is available on his MySpace page, including the songs from the “Don’t Look Down” soundtrack.
