The stars united to raise money for earthquake-ravaged Haiti in a two-hour Friday night telethon carried by all the major networks.

Grammy and Oscar winner Jennifer Hudson performed “Let It Be,” and other Idols were on hand, including judge Ellen DeGeneres and former runner-ups David Archuleta and Katharine McPhee.

AP hasn’t reported the amount raised by the telethon, but John Mayer phoned in a donation of $500,000 before it began, according to a representative from MTV, which helped organize the event. Here’s a link to the AP story.
